The County of Los Angeles is asking residents to weigh in on its $54.2 billion budget through short online surveys open through Oct. 31, the county said.
Surveys include a countywide questionnaire and a separate survey for each of the county’s 39 departments; residents may complete surveys for as many departments as they like, the county said.
Responses are anonymous unless respondents choose to share contact information; the county said departments will review answers and use them to inform budget planning for Fiscal Year 2027-28, which begins July 1, 2027.
The county’s Recommended Budget will be presented to the Board of Supervisors in April 2027, the county said.
“The County’s budget reflects its values. Our overarching goal in building the budget, especially during challenging times, is to ensure that we are maintaining safety net services and meeting the most essential needs of our communities,” said Chief Executive Officer Joseph M. Nicchitta.
To participate, visit ceo.lacounty.gov/surveys/ and complete any surveys you choose by Oct. 31; more budget materials are available at ceo.lacounty.gov/budget.
