The San Bernardino County Public Defender’s Office will bring its Mobile Defense Program to Hesperia on Wednesday, Oct. 14; the county said the clinic runs from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at Abundant Living Family Church High Desert.
The county said the event will offer free legal assistance and access to county and community resources, presented in partnership with Abundant Living Family Church High Desert and the High Desert Black Worker Center.
The Public Defender’s Office will provide record‑clearing services and mobile court assistance for San Bernardino County cases to help people address bench warrants, modify misdemeanor summary probation, re‑enroll in court‑required classes and resolve outstanding fines, the county said.
San Bernardino Superior Court Self‑Help and the Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino will offer additional legal support for family law, child support, guardianship, landlord‑tenant matters, small claims and other civil needs, the county said.
County departments will provide healthcare resources, employment services, child support assistance and information about public benefits; participating agencies include Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, San Bernardino County Child Support Services, the Human Resources Department and the Transitional Assistance Department, the county said. Community partners brought together by the High Desert Black Worker Center will offer workforce, housing, job‑readiness, health and reentry resources.
The event is free and open to the public and will be held at Abundant Living Family Church, 17555 Mauna Loa St., in Hesperia; the county said registration remains available for record‑clearing services and directed people to PD.SBCounty.gov for more information and to register.
