San Bernardino County is asking residents to make a plan to cast their ballots early for the 2026 General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 3, the county said.
Mail ballots were sent to all active registered voters beginning Monday, Oct. 5. Voters may return ballots by mail, at an official ballot drop box, at the Registrar of Voters office or in person at an early voting location or any polling place on Election Day.
The county recommends mailing completed ballots by Tuesday, Oct. 27, or returning them to a ballot drop box or Early Voting Location by Friday, Oct. 30, so those votes may be included in the first election-night results.
No postage is required to return a ballot by U.S. Mail; mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Nov. 3 and received within seven days after the election. Ballots returned to a drop box or voting location must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Early voting is open now at the Registrar of Voters office, 777 E. Rialto Ave., in San Bernardino; ten additional early voting locations open Thursday, Oct. 29. On Election Day polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The voter registration deadline was Monday, Oct. 19; eligible residents who missed that deadline can still register and vote in person through Election Day.
Voters can track mailed ballots through My Elections Gateway or sign up for the California Secretary of State’s “Where’s My Ballot?” system for email, text or voice updates. For locations, hours and other election information visit Elections.SBCounty.gov or call 909-387-8300.
