San Bernardino County announced it will illuminate several county facilities in green from Nov. 4–11 to mark Operation Green Light for Veterans; the county said it already illuminated the Government Center in support of veterans.
The county listed the following locations as scheduled to be lit in green from Nov. 4–11: San Bernardino County Veterans Affairs Office, 222 Hospitality Lane, San Bernardino; Veterans Affairs at the High Desert Government Center, 15900 Smoke Tree St., Hesperia; Chairman and Third District Supervisor ’s District Office at the Bob Burke Government Center, 63665 Twentynine Palms Highway, Joshua Tree; First District Supervisor Col. ’s (Ret.) District Office, 14955 Dale Evans Parkway, Apple Valley; Second District Supervisor ’s District Office, 8575 Haven Ave., Rancho Cucamonga; Fourth District Supervisor ’s District Office, 14010 City Center Drive, Chino Hills; Vice Chair and Fifth District Supervisor ’s District Office at the San Bernardino County Government Center, 385 N. Arrowhead Ave., San Bernardino.
The county attributed the initiative to Operation Green Light for Veterans; the event is described in the release as a nationwide effort led by the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers to raise awareness of veterans’ service and available benefits.
