San Bernardino County announced three senior promotions; CEO Luther Snoke appointed Diane Rundles as chief operating officer, Matthew Erickson as chief management officer and elevated Diana Atkeson to chief financial officer. The Board of Supervisors approved the action on Oct. 6.
The county said the updates mark the completion of Snoke’s third year on the job and follow months of planning and coordination intended to streamline county leadership.
"As part of the updated structure, our organization is now aligned across three primary service areas: Constituent Services, Internal Government Services, and Public Safety & Communications," Snoke said. He said those groupings are intended to strengthen alignment among departments with related functions, clarify executive oversight and support greater coordination across the organization.
The county said Rundles previously served as assistant executive officer, Erickson previously served as chief financial officer and Atkeson previously served as assistant chief financial officer. As they move into the new posts, the county said the organizational structure will shift with no net increase in positions.
