San Bernardino County posted photos Oct. 29, 2026 from Victorville resident Deana Bohnsack that showcase the Pacific Crest Trail in county lands.

The Pacific Crest Trail covers 2,650 miles between Mexico and Canada and passes through California, Oregon and Washington.

The route crosses desert, the glaciated Sierra Nevada and deep forests and leads to views of volcanic peaks in the Cascade Range.

Each year many hikers and equestrians use the trail; some travel a few miles while others complete the entire trail in a season.

For more information the county directed readers to the San Bernardino National Forest’s website.
