San Bernardino County said the Office of Emergency Services has launched a dedicated El Niño and Storm Preparedness webpage at Prepare.SBCounty.gov/ElNino.

The page includes resources on flooding, debris flows, sandbag availability, emergency alerts, evacuation planning and safety tips for before, during and after storms.

Residents can use the site to sign up for the county’s Telephone Emergency Notification System, download the Ready SB County app and find guidance on preparing households, pets and large animals; the county said the webpage will be updated as new information and resources become available.

The county is preparing for potential El Niño conditions and winter storms, and it encouraged residents to prepare now before storms arrive.
