The San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters said it has updated its Election Results page for the Nov. 3 General Election; the county’s news release describes the new features.
Users can find a specific contest with the page’s “Filter Races” tool; results include vote totals and percentages and can be viewed in list or slideshow format.
The county said the page automatically adjusts for smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers; no app or special software is required, so voters can follow results on the go.
The release says the page was designed with accessibility in mind; it includes screen-reader compatibility, readable fonts, high-contrast colors and considerations for users with color-vision differences.
An interactive map provides a geographic view of results and election activity; available map features include voter turnout by precinct, which helps users see where votes are coming from.
The county reminded voters that election night results are only the beginning of reporting; the page shows a “Next Update” time so users know when additional results are expected.
For official results and updates, the county directs users to Elections.SBCounty.gov/newlook.
