San Diego County Probation led an unannounced, multi‑agency sweep in mid‑October that contacted around 30 people on post‑release community supervision or on formal probation for domestic violence, the county said.

Three teams operated in Central, Mid‑City and Southeastern San Diego; each team monitored about 10 high‑risk clients.

Officers completed 13 residential searches, nine person searches and two vehicle searches; they arrested two people for probation violations and one person on new charges.

Officers seized a Winchester rifle with no serial number, multiple prohibited weapons, two vape pens, a credit card belonging to someone not present and a Texas identification card.

County Probation worked alongside the County’s Child and Family Well‑Being, the California Department of Justice, the San Diego Community College Police Department and a Probation K‑9 unit.

The county said the operation aimed to verify compliance, support rehabilitation and strengthen community safety.

The Journal infers residents in the affected neighborhoods should expect a heightened law‑enforcement presence during similar enforcement operations.
